What is an Onload Test?
An Onload test means testing the generator using your building load rather than just running the generator without any load. In conjunction with a black building test, you simulate a power cut. This checks that the generator automatically starts. The changeover panel automatically switches from mains supply to generator supply. Depending on your operations, it is good to do a onload test once a month and most certainly at least twice a year.
