Thousands still remain without power
Power engineers working through the night to deal with disruption caused by Storm Barney.
Barney – the second UK storm strong enough to be named by the public – saw winds peak at 85mph on Tuesday, before conditions calmed down overnight.
Homes were left without power in the Midlands, in southern and eastern England, and Wales.
Damage caused by wind has continued to cause disruption to rail services.
